Liverpool Life: FOOD: Our essential guide to eating in and eating out this week

THE award winning, Little Eye Bakery will be running a full day sourdough workshop where budding bakers can learn all they need to know to make their own fabulous loaves.

The one day Start It Up class at Claremont Farm is an informal, hands-on session, in a domestic- scale kitchen. Baker Malcolm Williams launched Little Eye in 2010 at the first Hoylake Food Fair – naming it after the island in the Dee Estuary.

During the day participants will be working from different starters, through mixing, shaping and proving doughs – while experimenting and have some fun.

BRITAIN’S largest celebration of food and drink is to return to Tatton Park for the second year running. Chefs, including Rachel Green, Norman Musa of Ning, Tim Bilton of the Butcher’s Arms, and David Mooney of The Lord Binning will cook signature dishes live in the chefs’ theatre. The event runs on July 6-8.
